The good thing about being known as “the scooter people” is that when someone finds something of interest, we get dibs. I thought I wanted a Honda C70 (aka “the Passport”) until Erik and I went for a ride to a forest management area (oh, and a healthy dose of watching racing in Baja).  I honed in on the CT90. Lightweight. Likes it rough. It’s a Honda.

We were fortunate to learn that the same guy who sold us the Series I Lambretta was selling a 1970 Honda Trail90. While it’s not such good timing financially, it was just too difficult to resist.

Driving up to Wilbraham, Massachusetts on Sunday (getting up at the crack of dawn for a Sunday!), we picked up a 1970 CT90. It’s not a perfect-looking bike, but it runs really well and only needs a new set of tires. I originally wanted to ride it home, but Erik’s cooler head prevailed and we hauled it in the back of my Fit.

Seriously, how much fun is this?
